Sales Manager - Digital Advertising

Position Overview:

As a team member within Valnet Digital Media’s Sales team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue pipelines for the Entertainment, Gaming and Tech verticals of Valnet Media’s digital portfolio. Reporting to the CRO of Direct Digital Revenue & Sales Strategy, the Manager will be responsible for developing the strategies and processes to maximize revenue and yield, acting in a leadership role to ensure successful execution of direct campaigns. In this position, the Manager will also need to interact regularly with a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders, including the Video, Ad Operations and Ad Sales Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in digital media sales/marketing, a strong understanding of the digital video/display including programmatic, social/branded content and a passion for gaming and entertainment.


What you will be doing:  

  • Exceed or meet quarterly and annual revenue targets based on your account list as well as prospecting and cultivating new business accounts for Valnet.
  • Ability to pull together a comprehensive proposal or campaign pitch leveraging Valnet’s media solutions.
  • Leverage existing and find new partnerships to grow Valnet’s direct sales initiative.
  • Author and present sales collateral with strong positioning to showcase Valnet’s media solutions as best in class.
  • Take a consultative approach with clients and agencies acting as a partner to help create the best marketing campaigns while representing Valnet with a high level of integrity and knowledge.
  • Track and manage sales pipeline.

What you need to succeed:

  • 2+ years’ experience in digital advertising with a strong background in media planning, sales operations, or marketing solutions.
  • Knowledge of RFP process and deal life-cycle.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising platforms and products.
  • Strong analytical, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes.
  • Knowledge of MS office (specifically Excel), experience with order management systems and ad-server reporting a plus (Operative, Freewheel).
  • Able to make actionable and informed decisions, effective communicator.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead and work with a diverse team.
