The position:

Valnet’s Publishing division is looking for a highly organized and adaptable Jr Social Media Strategist. 

As a Jr. Social Media Strategist you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day coordination of our Facebook business along with contributing to the growth and development of the Facebook portfolio in general. There will be heavy focus on understanding the whys and hows of content performance of each unique page and using this knowledge to take rapid strategic decisions. You will work closely with the management team to continue to build a robust distribution network, this process will happen through extensive data-driven discussions, innovative approach to social media marketing & content along with constant and constructive feedback processes.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist with the development and operations of a series of Facebook pages
  • Strategize for optimal performance of video, link and image content 
  • Research and understand the competitive landscape of Facebook publishing and creators
  • Assist a team of social media coordinators with their daily requests 
  • Be an operational liaison and strategic between management and social media freelancers 
  • Use collaborative thought processes in order to achieve goals and utilize resources.
  • Think outside the box and challenge the status quo 
  • Analyze day-to-day performance reports 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where goals must be reached within tight deadlines.

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or other relevant field 
  • 2+ years of working experience in social media 
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment 
  • Great understanding of content and social media platforms AND the ability to keep abreast of the latest trends
  • Highly process-oriented and open to feedback and honest communication 
  • Highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Work well as a team as well as independently.
  • Great written and oral communication skills in English.
